Meringue Bones (Special Halloween "Inferno")

Is typical of Halloween to give candies to children who knock at your door or put them in your own party, so today we'll prepare a super delicious and easy recipe.

Ingredients:

- 3 Egg whites.
- 150gr of icing sugar.
- A pinch of salt.

Elaboration:

The first step to make those bones will be whip the egg whites with the salt and sugar. Whip them at high speed for 10-15 min, to get our meringue.

Then put the meringue into a pastry bag and on a baking paper that we have previously put in a tray, we will make the shape of the bones or the way we want, such as hands, faces, etc. Once we have it, put it in the oven for about 1 hour at 100 ° C (212 ° F). Once past the hour, they will be ready to give to children or put them in our scary Halloween party.

Donuts (English)

Today we'll prepare a super delicious and amazing recipe. These aren't traditional donuts you can buy in any supermarket, these donuts are those you see in a pastry shop with a super nice decoration and you stay looking at them for hours and thinking, I need to buy one of those and taste it.

Ingredients:

- 400g of Flour.
- 250ml of Milk.
- 1 Egg.
- 25gr. of Fresh Yeast
- 70g of Sugar.
- 50g of Butter.
- Orange zest.

Elaboration:

First boil the milk & orange zest in a cacerole, once boil, remove the orange zest and let temper the milk. Meanwhile, in a bowl mix the flour and sugar. Once mixed, add the egg and re-mix. Now dilute the yeast on the milk & then add it to the flour and mix well. Finally add the butter and mix until have a dougth, then we will make a ball with the dough and let stand for 40 minutes.

Once rested, we stretch out the dough until it's 1 cm thick and then cut the shape of donuts with a glass for example, and somewhat smaller for the hole inside. Put the donuts on baking paper and let  it stand for 1 hour. Then we cut the paper on which were the donuts and fry the donuts with the paper under, with this way will not stick to the bottom of the pan and will not burn. Fry all the donuts on both sides and put them on kitchen paper to remove excess oil.

There are thousands of ways to decorate, but I will show you two concrete ways. The first way will be strain the amount of jam you want (eg I slipped 2 tablespoons), we will strain the jam to remove any lumps, mix the jam with 100 grams of icing sugar, and you will get that mixture. Then add water, the amount depends on you, always depending on if you want a more or less liquid glaze. Once we have this, dip the donut on one or both sides and we can decorate them with some toppings.

The other way to decorate the donut is the same as before, all that happens is that in this case we will take 100 grams of the chocolate that we like and mix it with 100 grams of icing sugar. To that mixture add as before the amount of water we want and then dip the donut.

Puff Pastry & Strawberry Fingers (Special Halloween)

Halloween is already here so I propose you to do these fingers and you will surprise anyone who comes to your house to ask for candies.

Ingredients:

- 1 puff pastry.
- Strawberry Jam or Syrup.
- Icing Sugar (optional).
- Dried fruits (like almonds, to do the nails).

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Cut the dough in 2 halves and if we want, we can sprinkle icing sugar on top. Cut one half into strips  of about 2.5 cm wide. Cut each strip in 3 and put a little of strawberry syrup. Now cut the other dough into strips and do the same that with the first dough, but without putting syrup. Now put the dough without syrup on one with syrup and press the edges to close it, then do the shape of the finger.  Finally we put the dried fruit as a nail and put in the oven to 180 degrees until golden.

After that let it cool and decorate with a little of syrup or jam like blood.

I hope you liked the recipe and do not forget to share with family and friends.

Marzipan

Hi everyone! Here we are with a new Christmas recipe.

Ingredients:

- 200gr of ground almond.
- 200gr of icing sugar.
- An egg (separate the white from the yolk).

Preparation:

First we have to mix the almond with the icing sugar. After that we put the white of the egg and mix all. When we see that everything is well mixed, we can make the different shapes.

We have two ways to make the shapes (Preheat the oven to 200 degrees). One way is make the shape with the paste that we have, and when we  have it, the marzipan is ready to be eaten.
The other way is make the shapes and put in a baking tray, then we have to paint the marzipan with the yolk of the egg, and now it’s ready to be placed in the oven at 180 degrees until golden. When the marzipan is golden, we can stop the oven and remove them.

As you can see, it’s very easy and simple to make marzipan at home. It’s better to make it at home than to buy it, because it’s cheaper.

See you soon with another recipe!!
